I'm currently working on a variant of Discord and am trying to decide whether or not to use Preservation on one of the N/Rt healers. The only other option that comes to mind would be Xunrai's Weapon or Weapon of Remedy in condition-heavy areas... but then the heroes would be fighting between The elite weapon spells and Weapon of Warding, or should I ditch the N/Rts altogether and make them N/Mo? Not too sure, never had much luck with N/Mo healers always found the N/Rt brethren to be better.

Preservation is such a godawful skill. Xinrae's or WoR are both great options and while Weapon of Warding is great, I would take either of those elites over it in a heartbeat. There's also nothing saying they can't keep WoW on somebody and then hit the elite on someone else. I might be wrong, but from my experience heroes generally don't overwrite weapon spells with another one.

Although, if you're running a Discord variant, why won't the elite be...Discord?

Well it's just that it would be a 2-man variant, and I would already have 4 Discords + direct damage from me (Judge's Insight), then there's my brother running AP MS Spam with MoR on top of 30 minions with EBSoH at max rank up consistantly, so my damage is pretty much as high as it needs to be.

Preservation not so good IMO just because it will heal people even if they are at full health.

Preservation is really only useful if there's someone in the party like an orders, or an OotU MM, who would need the health gain constantly. Then you could position the spirit so only he would receive the health.

Heroes can't do this so it's useless on them.

Either of those two weapon spells would be better than Preservation. Preservation is horrible. Also, with 4 Discords, perhaps try Assassins Promise to pump energy faster (allows the use/increased spammage of higher energy spells) and recharge of slow recharging ones (1 man Aegis chain?)
